Transfer Work Continues

Having completed a number of transfers and new contracts in the winter window, Rob Feigenson and Nova Sports Group attended the MLS season opener between DC United and the Columbus Crew in Washington, DC. Nova Sports Group is a global sports representation agency that works throughout more than 25 countries worldwide and has developed a reputation for identifying and placing players with the “correct” club. While MLS has grown and added two new expansion clubs in 2011, Nova continues its work in the domestic and international markets to ensure strong placement for players and clubs alike.

Over the past two months, Nova actively worked on contracts and player placements for Floyd Franks, Shawn Chin, Jamel Johnson and Gregg Berhalter and remain optimistic of potential for additional moves prior to the close of the window in MLS (on April 15). Each of Nova’s MLS-based players started the season with injuries which kept them from playing time on opening day. In fact, both Kevin Burns (broken rib) and Gregg Berhalter (sprained knee) sat out their opening day competitions, though Burns seems posed for his season debut in the near future having played 90 minutes in the club’s reserve match over the weekend, which was seen as a warm up for first-team action. A long season ahead for each team includes MLS play as well as CONCACAF Champion’s League competition.
